Travel
You feel like you want to travel, but you don't want to leave your 'furry' companions behind. Many of you may be unfamiliar with the concept, but only a fur mom or dad understands the feelings that come with providing for furry pals. Finding pet-friendly venues in India is sometimes a challenge, and few hotels are willing to accept and keep our 'paw-some' companions. So, can a pet parent ever go on a pet-friendly vacation?
The great thing is that pet-friendly travelling is now feasible in a few hotels and guesthouses in India. Our animal friends may now enjoy a holiday with the rest of the family, thanks to these people!
Goa
The culture of Goa is a combination of Indian and Portuguese influences. Goa's atmosphere is infused with sun, sea, beach, seafood, music, and devotion. Overall, Goa might be described as India's miniature paradise.
One of Goa's magnificent homestays is one that supports and pushes for pet-friendly travelling. Arco Iris is a 200-year-old Goan house rejuvenated to its former splendour and equipped with modern conveniences. The homestay is located close to Margao and looks over a seasonal lake. The Neemrana Group of Hotels owns and operates the hotel. There are four bedrooms in the homestay, three of which have individual balconies.
New Delhi
Delhi perfectly embodies the phrase "a trip back in time"! The entire city is a chest with roots dating back to the Mughal Empire. Delhi is characterised by its rich past, landmarks, quick speed of life, and crowded streets and back alleyways.
Amid all this mayhem, there is an area where you can enjoy all of this and some more in solitude. The Deer Park Villa is in Safdarjang Enclave, one of Delhi's most wealthy neighbourhoods. The guesthouse is only ten-minutes from the expansive Deer Park, giving it an ideal setting for your canine companion to feel good in the great outdoors. The house is perfect for unwinding, with six air-conditioned beds and a bright rooftop patio.
Puducherry
Puducherry is a lovely tiny hamlet on India's southern coast, away from the chaos and commotion of big towns. Its outstanding characteristic is the unusual French architecture, tree-lined streets, colonial historical buildings, and endless expanses of unspoiled beaches.
The pet-friendly Dune Eco Village and Spa, an exciting artist hotel, is the icing on top. One of India's best eco-friendly stays, it emphasises natural lifestyle and environmental preservation. This magnificent house is located on 35 acres of oceanfront land and is just a 20-minute drive down from town. This hotel is one of the best places to stay if you're travelling with pets because of its expansive grounds.
Karnataka
Karnataka has it all: magnificent palaces and ruins, parks, beach, yoga centres, and tourists' hangouts. The lush rolling hills provide a welcome break from the monotony of everyday life.
To top this, Our Native Village is the ideal location for pet-friendly vacations. Our Native Hamlet is an attempt to reproduce the ambiance of a village. (Don't worry; the location is fully equipped with all modern conveniences.)
Your pet will have plenty of room to scramble. Milk a cow, ride a bullock cart, fly a kite, ride a cycle, and farming are just a few of the activities available at the resort. You can acquire a licence to drive a bullock cart.
Pushkar
Pushkar is a famous Hindu pilgrimage destination. Devotion, bells, beats, and melodies ring out from the town's various temples. The city of Pushkar has a particular allure that attracts both the young and the old.
The Foothills Camp, just a ten-minute drive from Pushkar's main town, is pushing the boundaries of tourism. The location is encircled by hills and is ideal for all of your pet-friendly travel requirements. The site has beautiful tents and allows you to set up in the woods. The proprietors are also impressive owners of a pair of Labrador retrievers and a few cats. All travellers and their furry pals get along swimmingly with these in-house furry pals.
Ooty
Udagamandalam, popularly known as Ooty, has an appeal like none other for mountain lovers. Ooty is a hill station in Tamil Nadu that is a prominent tourist spot. It was once known as the warm weather capital of the East India Company (for a good reason). Ooty is the place to go if you want to rest and unwind in a beautiful setting.
Today, Ooty gives us even an extra reason to travel, this time with our pets. Destiny Farm Resort is one of India's best farm resorts. The atmosphere will make you and your animal companion feel at ease. Horses, cows, sheep, bunnies, guinea pigs, geese, and farm dogs all live on the farm.
Kerala
Kerala's layered environment, a network of shimmering backwaters, interspersed with zealously secured wildlife reserves and fabulous hill villages, defines South India's most calm, beautiful state. It is unquestionably a planet apart from the rest of India's craziness.
Kerala has always been an renowned tourist attraction. Greenex Farms has reintroduced Kerala on the map for yet another reason, this time a unique one. The Greenex Plantation is a hybrid of a coffee farm and a resort, featuring a variety of lodging options. Swimming in the pond, relaxing by the campfire, drinking tea, playing badminton, cycling, walking, and birding are all options. And don't worry, your four-legged companions are undoubtedly having a good time.
Bhimtal
The old settlement of Bhimtal, a lovely small town buried away in Uttrakhand's hills, is the ideal location to unwind. The site can induce a trance-like condition in which all you would like to do is lay back in the shade, shut your eyes, and chill.
Bhimtal, located at an elevation of around 1,370 metres above sea level, now has an eco-friendly resort that encourages pet-friendly vacations. On one side, the Emerald Trail gives views of the Kumaon Valley, while on the other, the forest. The resort's location makes it a pet and their nature-lover parent's dream.

As I walked down the cobblestone paths of a 'not so tiny' but quaint village of Şirince, I spotted the Turkish evil eye embedded in our path. I couldn't help but wonder about our own versions of it in India, the nazarbattu.

One thought always overwhelms me as I sit down to plan a holiday in the hills; will it be too crowded? Any true-blue Dilliwala can tell you how genuine this fear is. There is no hill station within a few hundred kilometers of Delhi, that has escaped us.
If you plan to travel to the enchanting Meghalaya, then you must visit the famed natural wonder, the living root bridge. We had the most thrilling experience as we trekked to the double decker live root bridge at Nongriat which is also known as Jingkieng
